Check out this!

Yep...there are indeed much worse places to be stuck in than Prague.

Take my advice...go to the old square...there you'll find a hotel right opposite the Clock Tower called the Hotel UPrince.

Walk inside the door and to the back of the room and take the elevator to the top floor...there you'll find a wonderful terrace bar where you can enjoy very reasonable but wonderful cocktails and look out over the beautiful city by night.

It's a wonderful place to go on your own or to bring someone special. Hope you get this message before you leave.

Best wishes,
Seamus

thank you

I am an Icelander living in Sweden atm and as you may know my fellow countrymen are religious fans of Eurovision, me no exception. I found your site 3 months ago and have been a regular visitor since as you provide the best information on the subject that I have found. Even the official site is lesser to yours. So, now all this is over I want to use the opportunity to thank you sincerely for all that you have done on this wonderful website. I will definitely visit it again when we get closer to 2007 contest. I have a number of Finnish friends here and we watched the final in a bar last night on a huge screen. We had such a good time. Before the contest started we vowed that if Finland won we would go to Helsinki to be there live in person.....I guess I´ll see you there. Thank you again. Thora Gunnarsdottir, Icelander in Gothenburg Sweden.

HEY HO...

Great work lads, dont know what id have done without this site and all your very very hard work...

As for the show well, i thought it one of the worst, when you take everything in to consideration, there were few highs like the openings to both shows but it all went down hill from there.
The presenters were soooo amateurish it was embarrassing.
The singing to playback was an insult.
The interval act was a cheap cop out.

The winner was nothing more than a circus act, who has no place in the contest, they now have no place in hard rock, which is their origins.

The only song and performance to leave you feeling a tingle was Romania, and this country so deserves to win, they really make an effort even more than Malta.
Some are shocked at maltas position, we werent he sang flat all the way through, at least Europes hearing seems to be ok.
France was the saddest of all, I felt so sorry for this girl, made to sing a song that was clearly not right for her, she was like a rabbit caught in the headlights.
The UK got the votes they deserved...awful song with what looked like a drug fuelled performance..
Ireland, good for Ireland a quality if old fashioned song honestly sung..
This contest has left an unusual taste in my mouth, which is a pity as i have never felt this disillusioned about it as i do now, in 40 years...

Re: HEY HO...

I think this was one of the best ESC shows ever. AMAZING opening act with the girl singing (anyone knows who is she?) awakening the creatures of the sea! I adored the choreography too - the dolphins! It blew my mind.

Re: HEY HO...

The girl is called Photini Dara (or Fotini Dara) and has an amazing voice. I am sure u can find some of her songs if u search the web.

Re: HEY HO...

Well that's a really balanced, thoughtful assessment of ESC 2006. UK's Daz was 'drug-fuelled' you reckon (or did you mean the girls too). That unusual taste in your mouth: probably something sour - grapes perhaps?

Re: HEY HO...

It is my assesment, balanced or not its as I saw and feel.I have the right after watching for 40 years.
Sour grapes should read sad and the after taste is lingering, thats more appropriate.
The drug thing relates to Daz and his performance, look at it especially the beginning, im not accusing him of taking drugs, god forbid... I just got the impression it looked a bit odd...

Stuck In Prague?

Prague is a great place to be stuck, as several posters have pointed out.

However, I bet it's not a great place to be stuck if you can't get out the airport!
